Apple's new foldable iPhone Duo will be available for pre-order in Hong Kong from 8 pm on Friday (Oct. 16), with prices ranging from HK$17,499 for the 256GB model to HK$27,999 for the top-end 2TB version, making it the most expensive iPhone to date. Its foldable inner display also comes with a hefty repair bill.
According to Apple HK's estimated repair service fees, repairing a damaged inner display after the warranty expires will cost HK$8,749—equivalent to about half the price of a new iPhone Duo and more than the starting price of a brand-new iPhone 17, which costs HK$7,799.
Repairing damage to the iPhone Duo's outer display or rear glass will cost HK$4,299.
However, customers who purchase AppleCare+ for the iPhone Duo, which provides coverage for two years, will pay just HK$788 for inner display repairs, about one-tenth of the fee without the coverage. Repairs to the outer display or rear glass will cost HK$228 under the plan.
