On Sept. 9 local time, Apple held a new product launch event. At the event, Apple introduced the new-generation iPhone 18 Pro series, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5 series. At the same time, the iPhone family welcomed its first foldable model: the iPhone Duo.

The first foldable iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display when unfolded — the largest screen ever on an iPhone. When folded, it has a 5.4-inch outer display, with a screen area roughly 90% that of the iPhone 18 Pro. The body is made of Grade 5 titanium and is powered by the A20 Pro chip. Apple says the device supports dual-screen multitasking and comes with a 48MP Fusion main camera and an ultra-wide camera.

The iPhone Duo features an all-new precision hinge design, supports IP68 dust and water resistance, and its inner display uses a nano-texture surface to reduce glare and visible creases. It also packs a dual-battery architecture, offering up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner screen, along with fast charging support.

Notably, the iPhone Duo has completely removed the physical SIM card tray and no longer supports physical Nano-SIM cards — it is eSIM-only, saving internal space while offering greater security and more convenient carrier switching.

The iPhone Duo comes in two colours — "Starlight White" and "Night Sky." Pricing starts at HK$17,499 for the 256GB model, HK$19,299 for 512GB, HK$22,799 for 1TB, and HK$27,999 for 2TB. Pre-orders begin on Oct. 16, with the device launching on Oct. 23.
