In the New Territories South East constituency, candidate Christine Fong received 58,828 votes, becoming the highest vote-getter in the geographical constituency; while in the Kowloon East constituency, the re-elected member from the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (HKFTU), Bill Tang, garnered 53,675 votes, claiming the title of "king of votes."

LegCo Election 2025 | 90 members announced: 40 new faces The eighth Legislative Council election of the Hong Kong SAR was held on December 7, with voting concluding successfully at 11:30 pm on the same day. In this election, 161 candidates contested for 90 seats, with all 90 seats being competitive, meaning no one was elected unopposed. Of the members, 40 are elected by the Election Committee, 30 are elected through functional constituencies, and 20 are elected through geographical direct elections. Among the 90 seats, 50 incumbents have been re-elected, while 40 are new faces.
