
QS, an international higher education organization, has recently released the latest world university rankings by subject, in which Hong Kong's universities have risen to become the most advanced in the world.
This year, six subjects are ranked among the top 10 in their respective fields, two more than last year, namely dental, education, linguistics and geography in the University of Hong Kong, as well as nursing and languages in the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
In addition, compared to the 2024 ranking, 158 disciplines among the 9 universities on the list have increased their ranking compared to last year, with an overall improvement rate of 63%, which is the highest in the world.
According to the report, Hong Kong maintains its leading position in higher education, with leading strengths in social sciences, biological sciences, and data science and artificial intelligence.
The report also recommends that Hong Kong's universities should continue to innovate in order to maintain their strengths and strengthen Hong Kong's position as an education hub.
