The Palace Museum, established in 1925, is an internationally renowned comprehensive museum built upon the imperial palaces and collections of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

It houses the world's largest and best-preserved complex of ancient timer-framed architecture, with a collection of over 1.86 million cultural artifacts. As an epitome of China's outstanding traditional culture, the site furthermore stands as a precious World Cultural Heritage shared by all humanity.

The Palace Museum is actively exploring new pathways for cultural inheritance through advanced digital technologies, bringing the museum's collections "to life" and sharing them with the world. FLASH! The Palace Museum — A Pop-Up Digital Experience employs innovative digital technology to vividly recreate and interpret the architecture, artifacts under the museum's stewardship, and their profound historical culture. Visitors will immerse themselves in the unique artistic charm of the Palace's architecture through changing seasons, experience firsthand the historical allure and cultural depth embodied in its treasures, and discover the exquisite artistry and profound wisdom manifested in imperial court life, embarking on a comprehensive and profound cultural journey.

As a vibrant hub of cultural exchange, Hong Kong holds a distinctive role in facilitating dialogue between Chinese and global cultures. Through this pop-up exhibition, we look forward to sharing the Palace Museum's remarkable legacy with Hong Kong audiences. This exhibition presents an opportunity to strengthen the cultural bonds and mutual understanding between mainland and Hong Kong communities while celebrating both the heritage and contemporary innovation of Chinese culture.
