The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon was won by Bethwell Kipkemboi on Sunday (Feb. 9).
In Causeway Bay, the 32-year-old finished in 2 hours, 11 minutes, and 13 seconds, followed by Kennedy Kipyeko in second place with a time of 2:11:35. Third place went to their countryman Vincent Kiprono in 2:11:49.

Despite the fact that low temperatures and dry conditions would jeopardize her title, course record holder Volha Mazuronak was the first woman to cross the finish line at Victoria Park. However, her time of 2:27:00 fell well short of the Belarusian's 2019 performance of 2:26:13.

Tadelech Bekele, a fellow countrywoman, finished third in 2:28:15, followed by Ethiopia's Emebet Niguse in second place with a record of 2:28:02.
The first runner from Hong Kong to finish was Wong Wan-chun. He finished 15th overall with a timing of 2:21:04. The first woman, Virginia Lo Ying-chiu, set a personal best time of 2:39:56.
