On Feb. 8, at the Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China, the women's 1500m short track speed skating final saw Chinese skaters claim both silver and bronze medals. Gong Li secured the silver with a time of 2:23.884, while her teammate Zang Yize earned the bronze with a time of 2:23.965.
Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee and his wife, along with Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law, attended the event to cheer on the athletes.
In a post-race interview, Zang expressed her joy at competing on home soil, stating that the atmosphere at the event was uplifting. She also shared her confidence that the Chinese short track speed skating team will continue to perform well in the upcoming competitions.
