According to Xinhua News Agency, the South Korean team claimed the first gold medal of the 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin, winning the short track speed skating mixed 2000m relay final.
The Chinese short track speed skating team, consisting of Fan Kexin, Gong Li, Liu Shaoang, and Lin Xiaojun, competed in the final. Despite leading for much of the race, China's chances of a podium finish were dashed when Lin Xiaojun suffered a fall due to his skate blade getting caught. As a result, the team missed out on a medal.
