Watch This | HK through Malaysian eyes: Impressions at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur
This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. The Malaysia-China Summit 2024, an international trade and investment exposition leadership conference, will be held at the International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur from Dec. 17 to Dec. 19.
In this vibrant and diverse trade show, we listened to Malaysian exhibitors sharing their first impressions of the distant city of Hong Kong. When asked if they had been to Hong Kong, their eyes seemed to shimmer with nostalgic memories, as if a story about this city was about to unfold.
"Have you ever been to Hong Kong?" seemed to open a door to reminiscence. With a gentle smile, an exhibitor, James Boon, softly mentioned, "Good food and enjoy!"
"What was your first impression of Hong Kong?" This question seemed to transport them back to the scene of their first steps into the city. They spoke of "Many cars", "Many people", and "So fast".
"What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you mention Hong Kong?" This question revealed an emotional connection to the iconic symbols of Hong Kong. They spoke of "Hong Kong's pineapple buns, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Hong Kong movies."
Through the eyes of Malaysian exhibitors, we seemed to catch a glimpse of the colorful side of Hong Kong.
