Hong Kong pop singer Eason Chan has drawn an overwhelming response for his upcoming show series, "Recording Sessions with Mr. Eason Chan," with registration numbers approaching the 5 million mark following a two-day public sign-up period.
Chan recently announced he will perform 26 live shows at the Lyric Theatre of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts from December this year through February next year. As of 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 29, cumulative public registrations reached 4,956,100—swiftly closing in on 5 million.
Organizers previously pledged to release 90% of total tickets across all 26 performances for public sale. In light of the enormous volume of applicants, the ticketing platform began a comprehensive data verification process on Oct. 30 to eliminate duplicate entries, abnormal or suspicious phone numbers and email addresses, and fraudulent registrations tied to ticket scalping.
The official ballot results will be released only after this strict screening process is completed, ensuring a fair opportunity for genuine fans.
Addressing a recent surge of social media posts and websites offering alleged "ballot strategies," ticket booking assistance, or ticket sales, organizers stressed that no tickets have been sold to date.
They emphasized that any claims of "guaranteed tickets," "holding stock," or requests for advance payment are entirely false. Organizers have reported these suspicious sales activities to the police and strongly urged fans not to purchase tickets from scalpers or unverified sources to avoid falling victim to scams.
