Spanish legend David Silva, who recently announced his return to football, has briefly joined Hong Kong Premier League club Supreme Shatin, drawing widespread attention from local fans. The Football Association of Hong Kong, China announced the latest fixture arrangements today (Oct. 22): Supreme Shatin's home match against BC Rangers will be moved to the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground, with the match scheduled for Nov. 7, allowing more fans to attend and catch a glimpse of the star.
The club previously revealed that David Silva will arrive in Hong Kong on Nov. 2 and will then make his Hong Kong Premier League debut. Supreme Shatin owner Jim Wong also personally confirmed that David Silva will officially take to the pitch in the home match on Nov. 7. The coaching staff hopes he can play 60 to 90 minutes, though the actual duration will depend on his physical condition. The club has currently arranged for Silva to appear in a one-match-only capacity, but has not ruled out the possibility of extending the cooperation in the future.
The match was originally scheduled to be held at Hammer Hill Road Sports Ground. Moving it to the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground will significantly increase seating capacity and is expected to attract more fans to watch in person. The club also announced that tickets will go on public sale on next Wednesday (Oct. 28), with online standard tickets priced at HK$300 and HK$250. Buyers will receive electronic admission tickets.
