The Hong Kong Observatory said today (Oct. 7) that a dry northeast monsoon is affecting Guangdong, with generally fine weather across the region. In Hong Kong, due to weaker winds and clear skies, temperatures in parts of the New Territories dropped to 20°C or below this morning.
The Observatory forecasts fine and dry weather today. It will be slightly cool in the morning, with a daytime maximum temperature of around 30°C. Moderate northerly winds are expected, occasionally fresh offshore, turning to easterly later. Winds are expected to be stronger tomorrow (Oct. 8). From the latter part of this week to early next week, the weather will remain fine and dry, with temperatures gradually rising. Inland areas will see a larger day-night temperature difference.
