After images surfaced online, some speculated it might be medical equipment, while others joked it looked like a diaper – reigniting public curiosity about the 80‑year‑old's health.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted a video on X showing Trump at a police academy event on Long Island. As he walked toward the crowd and then returned to the podium, a rectangular bulge was clearly visible at the back of his suit, suggesting that something firm was hidden beneath it.
Following the clip's release, independent journalist Aaron Rupar quipped on X: "Seriously, what's going on with Trump's backside? Looks like some kind of device." Others mocked it as a hidden adult diaper. George Conway, a former conservative attorney turned Trump critic, commented simply "It depends" – an apparent allusion to the Depend brand of adult incontinence products. Czech‑American tennis legend Martina Navratilova weighed in directly: "I think that's a big diaper."
Trump has faced similar speculation about using adult diapers in the past, though no evidence has ever supported the claim. Other netizens suggested the protrusion might be a medical device, possibly a colostomy bag, while some joked it could be a Brazilian butt lift.
