Hong Kong Observatory reports that today (August 11) weather remains extremely hot. The minimum temperature this morning was around 29 degrees, with the daytime maximum temperature in urban areas around 35 degrees, while in the New Territories it is another two to three degrees higher.
Later today, occasional showers may occur over local areas, with light to gentle westerly to southwesterly winds.
The Observatory forecast that tomorrow (August 12) and Thursday (August 13), maximum temperatures in urban areas will be about 33 to 34 degrees, with another two to three degrees higher in the New Territories. Affected by an upper-air disturbance, several rounds of showers are expected from Friday (August 14) through the weekend.
