The Hong Kong Observatory said that Tropical Cyclone "Dolphin" is moving across Zhejiang and into inland areas, and its outer subsiding air will continue to bring extremely hot weather to Hong Kong today (Aug. 10) and Tuesday, with temperatures in some areas reaching 37°C or above.
The Observatory forecasts generally fine weather today, with a minimum temperature of around 30°C in the morning. It will be extremely hot during the day, with maximum temperatures around 36°C in urban areas, and one to two degrees higher in the New Territories. A light to moderate west to northwesterly wind is expected, with fresh winds over high ground early on.
Looking ahead, Tuesday will remain extremely hot, with hot weather persisting over the following one to two days. A few showers are expected in the latter part of the week, bringing a slight relief from the heat.
