Jointly produced by TVB and Youku, legal drama The Model Lawyers held its opening ceremony in Shenzhen on June 14. As the prequel to Themis, it features an all-star cast including Gallen Lo, Tavia Yeung, Alice Chan, Joyce Tang, and others, with long-awaited collaborations.
Gallen Lo: After a decade away, returns as the male lead, also reunites with Joyce Tang, their first real direct scene partnership in nearly 30 years.
Alice Chan: Continues as star barrister, with deeper backstory in the prequel; prepared through real-life guidance from a female barrister.
Joyce Tang: Plays Lo Ka Leung's wife; expects fresh on-screen chemistry and a performance that overturns her usual image.
The Model Lawyers will be filmed in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, delivering a courtroom drama full of human conflicts.
