A video circulating on Hong Kong social media platforms today (June 5) has triggered widespread public concern after allegedly showing a female passenger being molested on a public bus.
According to the individual who posted the footage, the incident occurred at around 12:10 p.m. on a KMB Route 16 bus in Mong Kok.
The video appears to show a male passenger seated in the rear section of the bus slowly extending his hand toward a female passenger seated in front of him. The footage allegedly captures the man making physical contact with the woman in what social media users described as suspected molestation.
The clip quickly sparked heated discussion online, with many users condemning the man's alleged behavior.
Some commenters wrote that the act appeared to be an obvious case of molestation, while others suggested the female passenger may have noticed the contact but didn't dare to speak out. One commenter claimed that the woman's body appeared to lean forward immediately after the alleged contact.
Other social media users called for the incident to be reported to police, while some urged public transport operators to install more surveillance cameras on buses.
