The fourth hometown markets will be held from June 3 to 7 (Wednesday to Sunday) at Victoria Park. In anticipation of this multicultural event, we recently took to the streets of Hong Kong to interview foreigners about their fondest memories of home.
Interviewees from India, Switzerland, Finland, Tanzania, Canada, and elsewhere shared the hometown flavours they miss most—Indian roti with curry and butter chicken, Finnish Karelian pies and blood sausage, Tanzanian ugali and pilao. Some recalled the joy of catching salmon, while one admitted, "The food in Hong Kong is so good, I don't miss home at all!"
From street interviews to the hometown markets festival, these voices from around the world truly reflect the inclusive spirit of Hong Kong.
