The first Hong Kong Comic Con 2026 will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 29 to 31. The event, organized by Optics Ventures and co-sponsored by One Cool Group, features Louis Koo as the event ambassador. It aims to create an integrated cultural platform bringing together elements of animation, comics, movies, games, Cosplay, and trading card games, showcasing both international standards and Hong Kong's distinctive characteristics.
Louis Koo will showcase over 10 pieces from his personal collection at the venue, including 1:1 scale models of Batman, Spider-Man, and Star Wars, sharing his passion for science fiction and animation with the public. Additionally, he will unveil a new comic project with novelist Jozev Lau, comic artist ManTsang, and FCP participating, showcasing Hong Kong's cross-media creative strength.
South Korean popular actor Byeon Woo-seok will attend the opening ceremony on May 29 and participate in a dialogue, sharing behind-the-scenes stories from filming Solo Leveling. The international guest meet and greet will include discussions, photo ops, and signing sessions with Mads Mikkelsen, Norman Reedus, Jamie Campbell Bower, Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Leung, Christopher Lloyd, and Daniel Logan.
HKCC will present movie costumes and prop models from The Mandalorian and Grogu, including Mandalorian costumes and a large-scale Grogu model, making their Asia debut. Additionally, the new suit from Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be revealed.
The Artist Alley will feature over 70 local and international artists, while the Cosplay Hall will provide a space for interaction. Popular girl group Lolly Talk members Meimei, Tania, and Yanny will be the limited-time shopkeepers at booth G-35 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm on May 29, offering fan signings for the purchase of official merchandise.
