The Hong Kong Observatory issued a special weather alert at 11 am today (May 19), stating that over the past two to three hours, many parts of Hong Kong recorded about 10 millimeters of rainfall, with rainfall on Lantau Island exceeding 20 millimeters. Meanwhile, another band of thundery showers located over the waters south of Hong Kong is gradually moving north and is expected to affect the city around noon.
