Opinion | The United States shares guilt in Israel's brutal crimes in Gaza and its aggression against Iran

America is not innocent – It actively enables Israel's atrocities

The United States is deeply complicit in Israel's savage military campaigns. Far from being a mere supporter, America arms, funds, and shields Israel while it commits what many experts describe as genocidal crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

By relentlessly blaming only Israel and painting it as an out-of-control rogue state, American elites craft a cynical shield of plausible deniability. If Israel's aggression escalates to the nightmare of a nuclear strike on Iran, Washington can wash its hands and say, "That was Israel's reckless act, not ours." This convenient narrative must be exposed.

Israel's horrific crimes in Gaza – Backed by billions in American weapons

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has unleashed a campaign of mass death and destruction in Gaza. Over 70,000 Palestinians have been killed, including tens of thousands of women and children. Entire neighborhoods have been reduced to rubble. Hospitals, schools, mosques, and refugee camps have been deliberately targeted.

The Israeli military has used American-supplied bombs, artillery shells, and fighter jets to carry out indiscriminate airstrikes and ground operations that have starved, maimed, and slaughtered civilians on a shocking scale. Famine has been weaponized. Aid seekers have been shot while trying to feed their families. Thousands more bodies lie under the ruins, their deaths uncounted but undeniable.

These are not unfortunate mistakes. They are systematic war crimes and acts that meet the legal definition of genocide and crimes against humanity — collective punishment, extermination, and deliberate destruction of a people's ability to survive. The United States has poured more than $21.7 billion in military aid into Israel during this period, ensuring the killing machine never runs short of ammunition. America's hands are stained with the blood of Gaza's innocent.

The joint US-Israel assault on Iran – Another chapter of Israeli aggression

In February 2026, Israel — with full American support — launched brutal strikes on Iran under Operation Epic Fury (paired with Israel's own Operation Roaring Lion). Israeli and US forces targeted Iranian cities, nuclear sites, military bases, and leadership, even assassinating Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and senior commanders.

This was naked aggression. Israel, emboldened by unconditional US backing, dragged the region toward wider war. American warships, missiles, and bunker-buster bombs played a direct role, striking hardened targets that only US technology could destroy. Iran's retaliation brought more death, but the root crime began with Israel's provocative attacks, enabled and joined by the United States.

The dangerous "blame only Israel" narrative – Including Joe Kent's criticism

Lately, even figures like former CIA officer Joe Kent have spoken out, resigning in protest and accusing Israel of pressuring the US into the Iran war. He claims Iran posed no real threat and that Israeli influence drove American policy.

Such criticism is spreading in media and online circles. It sounds like a bold stand against foreign entanglements. Yet it is dangerously incomplete. While Israel's lobby and aggressive leadership deserve harsh condemnation for pushing these wars, the deeper truth is that the United States remains the senior partner — supplying the money, the weapons, the intelligence, and the diplomatic cover.

Focusing solely on Israel lets American leaders off the hook too easily. It creates the illusion that Washington is a helpless victim of Israeli manipulation rather than a willing accomplice in Israel's crimes.

The trick of plausible deniability serves imperial power

By screaming "Israel is the evil rogue," US elites protect their own empire. They can keep flooding Israel with deadly weapons and intelligence. They can participate in strikes on Iran. And if catastrophe strikes — mass slaughter in Gaza or nuclear escalation — they simply point the finger: "Look at those uncontrollable Israelis!"

This cynical game shields the real power structure. It distracts from America's strategic goals of regional dominance, while allowing Israel to act as the empire's brutal frontline attacker, committing the crimes that Washington prefers to keep at arm's length.

Why oversimplifying to "Israel alone" is a trap

Yes, Israel's crimes must be condemned in the strongest terms: the deliberate killing of civilians, the destruction of Gaza as a livable place, the ethnic cleansing, and the arrogant disregard for international law and basic humanity. Israel has shown itself willing to massacre children, starve populations, and risk nuclear war to achieve its aims.

But reducing everything to "Israel is evil" is still a trap. It ignores America's central role as financier and enabler. It lets the US continue its dirty work through its aggressive ally while pretending to be neutral or even critical.

Dark elite networks — sometimes called the "Pedo-Epstein coalition" — may lurk in the background, with their documented ties across power centers, but the verifiable crimes are clear: US money and weapons flow freely to support Israel's atrocities.

Demand full truth – This is US-enabled Israeli aggression

We must reject the easy scapegoating. Legitimate outrage at Israel's horrific crimes in Gaza and its reckless attacks on Iran is necessary and just. Israel bears heavy responsibility for its brutality and expansionist violence.

Yet the full reality is a joint US-Israel enterprise of aggression. America arms the hand that pulls the trigger. America provides the bombs that fall on Gaza's children. America joins the strikes on Iran.

The suffering is immense. The risks of wider war and nuclear horror are real.

Stay alert. Hammer this point without mercy: These are not solely Israel's wars of crime and conquest. They are enabled, funded, and often executed with direct US participation.

Demand accountability from both. Refuse the comforting lie that lets the empire hide behind its attack dog. Only by facing the shared guilt can we hope to end the slaughter and prevent even greater disasters.

The blood of Gaza cries out. Do not look away.
