A suspected wartime mortar shell was discovered at a construction site in Pak Sau Road, Kwu Tung, near Lok Ma Chau, this morning (March 17).
At approximately 9:32 a.m., workers at a construction site near No. 6 Pak Sau Road, close to the Kwu Tung North Multi-Welfare Services Complex, uncovered a mortar shell measuring about 25 centimeters in length.
The police were immediately notified and cordoned off an area within a 50-meter radius of the site. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau was called to the scene to handle the situation.
