A trough of low pressure will bring showers to southern China today (Feb. 28). This morning, rainfall of over 10 millimetres was recorded in many areas of Hong Kong, with rainfall even exceeding 20 millimetres on Hong Kong Island, in Kowloon, and the eastern New Territories.
Meanwhile, a strong easterly airstream will affect the coast of Guangdong. With the easterly airstream being replaced by a humid southerly airstream, it will be warm during the day with coastal fog in the morning and at night over southern China tomorrow and on Monday (March 1).
A cold front is expected to move across the coast of Guangdong next Tuesday (March 3). Winds will strengthen and there will be showers over the region. Temperatures will fall gradually in the middle and latter parts of next week.
