The northeast monsoon is affecting the coast of Guangdong, and a band of clouds is covering the region. Locally, temperatures over most parts of the territory around noon were about four to six degrees lower than those of yesterday (Feb. 6), said the Hong Kong Observatory. The monsoon is expected to strengthen further overnight, and temperatures will fall appreciably over the region.
Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight: Mainly cloudy with one or two light rain patches. Temperatures will fall appreciably tonight. Moderate to fresh east to northeasterly winds.
The minimum temperature tomorrow will be around 13 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories.
