A science book received at the age of four sparked Yanson Lai's curiosity about the universe and opened the shining journey of this Hong Kong primary school student.

Honored as one of Hong Kong's outstanding teens in 2025, Lai has not only received numerous academic awards but also invented a "smart ruler" to support left-handed classmates, thanks to his keen observation and warm creativity. From a precious meeting with a Brazilian astronaut to actively participating in a space training program, he is steadily moving closer to his dream: to travel to space to find resources and develop new medicines to help more people.

"Every star can shine," he believes. In his eyes, each person has their own path and light. This courage and perseverance are largely derived from the gentle yet steadfast support of his parents. Whether it's encouragement during competition setbacks or companionship in daily life, his parents always convey through their actions that "the future you will definitely be grateful to the current you for working hard."
