Exciting news is pouring in from the current National Games, with numerous record-breaking performances emerging in events such as swimming, athletics, and weightlifting, including:
Xi Xiaoheng set a new national record in the men's 800m (1:45.48).
Zhang Zhanshuo won the men's 400m freestyle final in 3:42.82, breaking the world junior record he previously held. Xu Jiayu clocked 24.36s in the men's 50m backstroke semi-finals, breaking his own national record of 24.38s. Yu Zidi claimed the women's 200m individual medley final with a time of 2:07.41, shattering the Asian record.
Liao Guifang refreshed the national record with a clean and jerk of 158kg in the women's 76kg final, a result that also surpassed the Asian record and the world record.
Hoho Chan clocked in at 47.09 seconds, achieving a personal best and breaking the HK record for the men's 400 meters (previously 47.11 seconds).
