In support of the "International Day of Persons with Disabilities Free Ride Day" on Nov. 9, the MTR Corporation will offer free rides to individuals with disabilities and one accompanying caregiver.
This initiative encourages people with disabilities to actively participate in community activities and enjoy a seamless, barrier-free transportation experience, fostering social inclusion.
To access the free rides, eligible passengers need to present one of the following valid documents: a valid Registration Card for People with Disabilities, a Personalized Octopus Card with "Persons with Disabilities Status," or a JoyYou Card also marked with "Persons with Disabilities Status." The offer is limited to Nov. 9 and excludes East Rail Line First Class and high-speed rail services.
The MTR Corporation stated that it remains committed to providing safe, reliable, and inclusive transportation services for the community. The initiative also serves as an opportunity to express gratitude for the contributions and efforts of caregivers.
