A fire broke out at a construction site in Kai Tak. This morning (Oct. 29) at around 10:00 am, scaffolding and fencing at a construction site located at 12 Kai Tak Harmony Road caught fire. Several passersby called for help, and firefighters responded to the scene and began extinguishing the blaze. No injuries have been reported so far. Police stated that approximately 180 workers have been evacuated to safety.
It is understood that the site is the Hong Kong Housing Society's Casa Delight project and a shopping mall named "KEyPoint". Video footage shows the site engulfed in flames, with large sections of scaffolding destroyed and thick smoke billowing out.
