The 83-ship fleet, consisting of the Navy's Qi Jiguang and Yimengshan vessels, set sail from Hong Kong this morning (Oct. 3) with over 1,200 naval trainees and personnel on board.
Many citizens lined the streets to bid farewell to the warships, with some holding up the five-star red flag and capturing the ships' impressive appearance on their smartphones.

After arriving in Hong Kong on Sept. 30, the Qi Jiguang and Yimengshan vessels held open ship events at Stonecutters Island, attracting a large number of enthusiastic participants from the local community. With the events concluded, the 83-ship fleet is now departing Hong Kong to embark on a journey to Singapore, Cambodia, and Thailand, where they will also hold open events.
