During Typhoon Ragasa's impact on Hong Kong, the No. 10 signal was maintained for 10 hours and 40 minutes yesterday (Sept. 24), causing numerous trees to fall across the city. During the No. 10 signal, Legislative Council member Chan Yuet-ming reported that several villages in the Ta Kwu Ling area experienced tree collapses, raising concerns among residents. Environmental Protection Department staff worked tirelessly through the storm last night to clear fallen trees and open pathways in Ta Kwu Ling. She noted that the challenges of clearing the roads were significant and that the process was not easy. On behalf of the village committee, she expressed gratitude to the Environmental Protection Department for restoring access for residents.
