The Hong Kong Observatory maintained the No. 8 typhoon signal until 1:10 pm today (Sept. 8), with strong winds and heavy rain continuing to

affect multiple districts across the city. Incidents such as fallen trees and collapsed scaffolding have been reported due to the severe weather. Despite the challenging conditions, police officers have remained at their posts, standing on the front lines to fully ensure the safety of citizens and the city.

In a social media post, the police reminded the public to stay indoors in safe locations during the No. 8 typhoon signal, keep away from windows and hazardous structures, closely monitor the latest weather updates from the Observatory, and take necessary precautions against the strong winds.
