On the morning of Sept. 3, a grand ceremony was held at Beijing's Tian'anmen Square to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group, Allan Zeman, was full of praise after watching the parade, even breaking into a spontaneous rendition of the "March of the Volunteers."
"I think everybody in China should be very pleased and very, very proud to really have seen how China is now. (China) for me is No. 1 in the world," he said.
He also added that China just cares about peace, which is important for the world right now.
"China is leading the world, showing us a peaceful nation. The military parade, they must have practiced so much because I can't find fault with one thing. Everything they did, everything, both the army, the navy, the music, was right on cue, and everybody was in step. Military, all the weapons, CJ-1000, nuclear missiles, amazing. Everything was like beautiful and so well-managed. They took it to another level. (The parade is) really the first one in the world that I saw," he said.
