The Hong Kong Observatory announced today (July 12) that as the upper-level anticyclone strengthens, weather conditions along the Guangdong coast will improve in the coming days, with hot daytime temperatures. From July 13 to 16, the city is expected to experience a four-day stretch of scorching heat, with maximum temperatures reaching 33°C.
Today's weather is forecast to be mostly cloudy with a few showers, with temperatures ranging from 26°C to 31°C. Some areas may experience heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds in the morning. Sunny intervals are expected in the afternoon, with moderate southwesterly winds.
The active southwest monsoon continues to bring showers and thunderstorms to the coastal areas of southern China and the northern part of the South China Sea. Over the next two to three days, there will be periods of sunshine and heat, occasionally interrupted by isolated showers.
