To celebrate the 28th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the People's Liberation Army (PLA) garrison in Hong Kong, the PLA Hong Kong Garrison will open three barracks—Stonecutters Island, Shek Kong, and San Wai—to the public on Saturday and Sunday (June 21 and 22).
This morning, the Stonecutters Island Barracks open day launched first, with orderly queues forming early at the entrance. Many children, accompanied by their parents, eagerly entered to explore.
The soldier-instructors patiently taught firearm knowledge to the children, even arranging hands-on practice sessions. From basic shooting drills to flag signal training, the young participants remained highly focused, mastering the skills with impressive precision.
