Multiple US media outlets have released new polls showing US President Donald Trump's approval ratings remain at historic lows, marking the lowest first 100-day approval rating for a US president in 70 years. In response, Trump dismissed the findings as "fake polls" in a fiery post on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Trump accused the polls of being manipulated by those suffering from what he called "Trump Derangement Syndrome," claiming they lacked any credibility. He lashed out, saying, "THEY ARE SICK."
In his post, Trump criticized the media, calling them "Negative Criminals." He alleged that after his major electoral victory, these outlets were forced to apologize to their readers and subscribers for underestimating his win in their polling. He claimed that these outlets lose "a lot of credibility, and then go on cheating and lying for the next cycle, only worse."
Trump also cited Republican pollster John McLaughlin, who labeled the polls as fake news. He called for an investigation into election-related misconduct by The New York Times, ABC News, The Washington Post, and even Fox News' polling division. Trump insisted these organizations should be scrutinized for their role in allegedly spreading false polling data.
