On April 21, a poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos revealed that US President Donald Trump's approval rating has dropped to the lowest level since his return to the White House.
The six-day survey showed that only 42% of respondents approve of Trump's performance, a decline from the 43% approval rating recorded three weeks ago in a similar poll. This is also lower than the 47% approval rating reported just hours after his inauguration on Jan. 20.
The poll also highlighted broader concerns among Americans, with 59% of respondents stating that the US is losing its credibility on the global stage. Furthermore, three-quarters of those surveyed believe Trump should not run for a third term.
In the comments section of social media platform X's post about Trump's approval ratings, many netizens expressed their dissatisfaction with Trump. "Still too high. It's a terrifying thought that one in four Americans is a trump cultist," one netizen said. While others have commented, "It's such a joke when DOTUS Trump DARES to call HIMSELF 'your favorite President, me'. He is probably one of the few POTUS who NEVER cracked over 43% approval rating."
