The Osaka Expo 2025 is being held in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to Oct. 13, featuring participants from 159 countries and regions, as well as 9 international organizations. The China Pavilion, located in Zone A7 of the Expo's international area, spans approximately 3,500 square meters, making it one of the largest foreign-built pavilions at the Expo.
The China Pavilion is designed as a sprawling bamboo-colored "Chinese Letter," symbolizing traditional Chinese scrolls, immediately evoking strong Chinese cultural elements.
With the theme "For Man and Nature: Building a Community of Life Together," the China Pavilion showcases traditional Chinese culture, including the 24 solar terms, Sanxingdui bronze artifacts, and classical arts like calligraphy and painting. It also highlights China's modern achievements in deep-sea and space exploration, such as lunar soil samples from the Chang'e-5 and Chang'e-6 missions, and records of the Jiaolong deep-sea submersible, emphasizing the harmony between humanity and nature.
Many Japanese visitors expressed awe after touring the pavilion, with one remarking, "You can feel China's deep sense of history at every moment." The intricate Chinese characters on the scroll-shaped exterior also sparked great interest, with visitors eager to learn more about Chinese culture.
