American livestreamer IShowSpeed, whose viral China tour earlier this year captivated millions, has revealed a heartwarming sequel to his cross-cultural saga: China's beloved "Rongchang Braised Goose Uncle" is set to visit the U.S. in the coming weeks.

During a recent live stream, IShowSpeed announced he is "90% certain" of securing a U.S. tourist visa for Lin Jiang, the 58-year-old Chongqing street vendor affectionately dubbed "Uncle Goose" by global netizens. "He'll stay for several days. I'll show him American culture-take him to Walmart, everywhere. Uncle is coming to America!" the excitable influencer proclaimed, replaying clips of Lin's past heroic act of saving a child, which moved him to tears.

From Goose Feeds to Global Fame

Lin Jiang, clad in his signature floral-patterned cotton jacket, became an overnight sensation during IShowSpeed's March 24-April 10 China tour, which spanned Shanghai, Beijing, Dengfeng, Chengdu, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Changsha. His relentless enthusiasm-miraculously navigating packed crowds to deliver Rongchang-style braised goose to IShowSpeed during livestreams-earned him the title "Most Dedicated Uncle" on Western social platforms like TikTok and Reddit.

Visa Hurdles and Fan Anticipation

While IShowSpeed expressed confidence in finalizing Lin's travel documents, the logistical challenges loom. U.S. visa processing times for Chinese nationals currently average 68 days, according to US State Department data. Still, fans are rallying for the reunion, with hashtags like #GooseUncleInUSA trending on Weibo.

The unlikely pairing has inadvertently become a symbol of grassroots cultural exchange. During their China adventures, Lin schooled IShowSpeed on Chongqing's fiery hotpot etiquette, while the American introduced Lin to viral dance challenges. Their planned Walmart trip-a quintessential slice of Americana-promises fresh comedic gold.

Lin, who still operates his braised goose stall in Chongqing's Rongchang district, told local media he's "nervous but excited" to taste American fast food. Meanwhile, Jiakang Ge's followers are speculating about potential collaborations, from a Braised Goose Pop-Up in L.A. to a joint YouTube cooking series.
