
The "2025 WTCF Hong Kong Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit", organized by the World Tourism Cities Federation and the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Bureau, concluded successfully today (April 16). This summit was the first of its kind held in Hong Kong, highlighting the city's significant position as an international tourism hub and injecting new momentum into the future development of the global tourism industry.
Taking place from April 14 to 17, the summit attracted approximately 800 guests from over 40 countries and more than 60 cities, including mayors, ambassadors, international organization representatives, industry leaders, and stakeholders related to the tourism sector, drawing considerable attention from the global tourism community.

The summit facilitated a range of activities such as major forums, research report releases, thematic discussions, promotional events, trade meetings, and exhibitions, successfully establishing a new multilateral platform for exchange and cooperation among world tourism cities. This initiative aimed to connect high-quality cultural and tourism resources internationally, promote deep cooperation among cities, and facilitate the high-quality development of urban tourism economies. The event sparked significant interest in tourism to Beijing and Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board, in collaboration with China Travel Group, hosted a major thematic forum titled "Hong Kong Tourism New Horizons", gathering insights from leaders across various sectors, international business executives, and academic experts. It featured opening remarks from Rosanna Law, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism; Peter Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board; and Wang Haimin, Chairman of China Travel Group and Hong Kong China Travel Group. Senior representatives from Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Disneyland, Trip.com Group, Royal Caribbean, and Estée Lauder delivered keynote speeches discussing future development strategies for the tourism industry.
To allow attendees to experience Hong Kong's diverse charm firsthand, the Tourism Board arranged four thematic itineraries, guiding guests to explore must-visit attractions during the conference. Participants expressed that the experiences deepened their appreciation for Hong Kong's unique appeal and multiculturalism, showcasing rich and varied tourism offerings, from natural landscapes and historical sites to modern art and culture.
