The highly anticipated Hong Kong Sevens 2025 will take place over three days starting tomorrow (March 28) at the Kai Tak Sports Park. To accommodate the expected large crowds, the Transport Department has announced special public transportation arrangements.
The MTR stations at Kai Tak and Sung Wong Toi will implement crowd management measures during the tournament. Train frequencies on the Tuen Ma Line will be increased, and empty trains will be on standby to ensure smooth passenger flow. Cross-boundary travelers are advised to use the Tuen Ma Line to Tai Wai Station and transfer to the East Rail Line for access to Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau boundary crossings.
Based on past experiences, many spectators tend to visit HK Island and Tsim Sha Tsui after the event. To facilitate this, 10 special bus routes will be launched during the tournament, including a new route to Tsim Sha Tsui. Additionally, buses heading to Central will add a stop in Causeway Bay.
For taxis, designated pick-up and drop-off zones will be extended to specific areas along Sung Wong Toi Road, and a dedicated taxi drop-off area will also be available at the Kai Tak Stadium. Spectators are strongly encouraged to use public transportation for convenience and to reduce congestion.
