
The highly anticipated Hong Kong Sevens tournament is set to kick off from March 28 to March 30 at the Kai Tak Sports Park. As of yesterday (March 26), over 130,000 tickets have been sold, marking a record-high attendance in the tournament's history. Organizers expect a staggering 139,000 spectators to attend the three-day event.
This year's tournament introduces a variety of fresh elements to enhance the fan experience. Internationally renowned band Kaiser Chiefs, iconic British DJ Pete Tong, and Italian musician GALA will take the stage for live performances. In addition, the newly established HK Sevens Fan Village will host 18 bands, six DJs, and six dance groups during the event.
The opening and closing ceremonies promise to dazzle audiences with a laser projection show and a fireworks display, respectively. Adding to the excitement, the championship cheerleading team from South Korea, the Kia Tigers, will make a special appearance to energize fans and players alike.
