
A Hong Kong Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Fuzhou Changle International Airport today (March 20) at 1:56 p.m. after smoke was reportedly observed in the cabin by passengers.
HK Airlines confirmed that the affected flight, HX115, departed from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport at 12:56 p.m. and was originally scheduled to land in HK at 2:56 p.m. The airline stated that the aircraft was diverted after a fire broke out in an overhead luggage compartment.
The plane landed safely in Fuzhou, and the fire has since been successfully extinguished. HK Airlines is now providing full assistance to passengers and crew.
