
Hong Kong Airlines has announced that it has launched direct flights from Hong Kong to Sydney, Australia, with one flight per day from June 20.
This is the second company in Hong Kong to launch this route, and flights are available for booking from now.
Hong Kong Airlines' new route between Hong Kong and Sydney Airport is scheduled to depart Hong Kong at 10:25 pm.、 daily and arrive at 9:50 am local time the following day. The return flight will depart Sydney at 11:30 pm and arrive at 9:15 pm Hong Kong time.
It is reported that the flights will be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with flight number HX017 departing from Hong Kong and flight number HX018 departing from Sydney.
Hong Kong Airlines' Chief Executive Officer, Sun Jianfeng, said that the three runways at the airport have increased the capacity of flights, and the governments of the two places and related organizations have promoted the company to set up routes to and from Sydney. Scott Charlton, Chief Executive Officer of Sydney Airport, said the additional flights had increased capacity and helped boost trade and economic growth in the city.
