A traffic accident occurred in the Lung Shan Tunnel this morning (March 17), causing significant disruption.
At approximately 11:10 a.m., a four-vehicle collision took place in the tunnel heading towards Heung Yuen Wai. The crash involved two medium-sized trucks, a taxi, and a light goods vehicle. At least two people were injured and later transported to North District Hospital for treatment.
The incident caused heavy traffic congestion, prompting authorities to implement a temporary two-way traffic arrangement within the single tunnel tube. The scene was cleared by around 12:00 p.m. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
