March will be a "Hong Kong Super March" with waves of popular cultural, arts and sports events, said the Chief Executive, John Lee, at a press conference before the Executive Council today (Feb. 18).

"The Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism will announce the arrangements and details of the opening ceremony later this week, and an international snooker match will be staged at Kai Tak Sports Park from March 4 to 9," Lee said. And from March 7 to March 9, golf tournaments will be held at the Hong Kong Golf Course, among others, which are expected to attract 40,000 attendees and bring about HK$100 million in economic benefits.
In addition, Lee said that starting from March 15, M+ will organize a 4-month large-scale Picasso exhibition "Picasso for Asia—A Conversation", and in late March ComplexCon Hong Kong, Art Centre and Art Basel 2025 Hong Kong will be launched in Hong Kong. These cultural events are expected to attract more than 400,000 visitors, and at the end of March the Hong Kong Sevens will move to Kai Tak Sports Park for the first time, with an increase in attendance from 40,000 to 50,000 people.
In addition to a range of cultural, arts and sporting events, a number of large-scale conferences and exhibitions will be held in March, such as the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market and high-end international conferences, which are expected to bring 120,000 high value-added visitors to Hong Kong. Lee estimated that the various events in the first half of the year will attract about 840,000 visitors, bringing about HK$3.3 billion in spending to Hong Kong, which will also bring about HK$1.8 billion of added value to the economy.
