Yushui ("rain water" in Chinese) is the second of the twenty-four solar terms. The arrival of the rainy season means that the temperature rises, everything gradually recovers, and nature presents a vibrant scene. In farming culture, Yushui symbolizes the beginning of the new year's agricultural activities and signifies the hope of a good harvest.
