On Feb. 11, an explosion occurred at a transportation center near El Paso International Airport in Texas, injuring seven people and causing a massive fire, according to US media reports.

The local fire department confirmed that the fire has been extinguished. Among the injured, four individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment. 

According to earlier reports, El Paso Fire Department Deputy Chief Robert Arvizu stated that the fire originated in the maintenance garage area of the transportation center. The explosion caused significant structural damage, including the collapse of the roof and parts of the walls. More than 100 firefighters were dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze.

The transportation center is located approximately 5.6 kilometers from El Paso International Airport. Local municipal officials also confirmed that the airport remains fully operational.
