
A severe cold wave has struck multiple regions across Japan, causing significant snowfall and resulting in casualties and property damage. According to a report from CCTV News, as of 9 a.m. local time, the heavy snow has caused 1 death and left 4 others seriously injured.
Local media reported widespread snowfall along the Sea of Japan due to this winter's strongest cold wave. The heavy snow has also caused damage to several buildings. Weather agencies predict that the snowfall will continue until around Feb. 9 and have urged the public to remain vigilant about potential disruptions to transportation.
