Watch This | Pakistani robber arrested after robbery case at Sheung Shui's jewellery store
A robbery happened at Nam Fung Jewellery on San Fung Avenue in Sheung Shui last night (Jan. 15), in which four masked thieves stole a batch of gold items and fled in a black BMW. Today, reports indicated that a Pakistani robber had been apprehended in Pat Heung.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. yesterday. The police received reports from several passersby stating that four men wearing black clothing and masks, armed with knives and hammers, broke into a jewelry shop on San Fung Avenue and smashed several display cases. After the thieves took the loot, they boarded a black private BMW car and fled towards the Sheung Shui District Council. The police classified the case as a robbery and initiated swift action to set up checkpoints to intercept suspicious vehicles and track down the robbers.
The BMW involved in the case later collided with another private car at the roundabout at Ng Tung Chai, Tai Po. Witnesses reported that three non-Chinese men in the vehicle fled towards Kadoorie Farm. Reports indicated that a Pakistani male robber had been arrested in Pat Heung.
