A Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-300 was forced to abort takeoff at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Jan. 10 due to an engine malfunction. Passengers evacuated the aircraft using emergency slides, with four sustaining minor injuries, according to reports from CCTV.
The flight had 201 passengers, two pilots, and five crew members on board. Some passengers reported seeing an "engine fire" during takeoff, although neither the airline nor the airport has confirmed whether the engine malfunction involved a fire, according to CNN.
Delta Air Lines stated that the crew followed standard procedures to ensure the safety of everyone on board. The incident caused temporary disruptions to airport operations, but officials expect normal services to resume shortly.
